We will say it in the layout and we will say it again, your pant cuffs must always be rolled up, especially with this sock of choice. Digging the graphic architect x downtown slayer, these warmers cannot go wrong with the classic Old Skool van. Peep, the rose detailing, We are leaving it to walk instead of being cooped up on the chest pocket. A huge bonus is this outfit is transporting friendly. Around Toronto, at least, I have seen a lot of gents wearing keychain/chains around there jean loops to hold their keys and other knick-knacks, which brings me back to the old mechanic and ‘garage boy’ era. This leaves you to switch up between the two similar ‘accessories’. If the dress shirt is a little too cumbersome under a jacket, a plain black tee will still do you justice. The iconic 90’s Dr.Martens synthetic adds the right kind of grunge mixing with the ripped up jean. Place the red bandana in your vest chest pocket and the ‘on the go’ look is stamped as yours.
Pro Tip – Take a box cutter to fray the jeans bottom cuffs if it’s still not rugged enough for you.
Past the thinking point…
Long vests are quite popular internationally in places like Japan. To provide the daydream I thought I would add the vision to how this might look, as this lad pictured showcases it exactly. Instead of the white dress shirt, I switched it up for a grey turtleneck, since we are slowly transitioning into fall it adds extra warmth and fewer layers. The vest screams cutting edge so it doesn’t need a bold palette. Though, I still would recommend a dress shoe to keep the look clean and solid structure.
Pro Tip: You can defiantly wear a hat like shown, no pointed-edges though or a beanie. This is a “ drive with caution”.

The Coffee Shop Hangout…
From Morning to Evening, to a coffee with a baguette, it’s all about the comfort. A warm Oliver Spencer cable scarf and a lightly washed dark denim for the cool tones tailors perfectly with a striped vest. Navy is always a color to play Nintendo with, so it’s effortless but a mind-game of finesse. Converse are always hiding in every closet, so ‘breaking bad’ only stays on Netflix.
Pro Tip: A long line coat works well as any overcoat, preferably in the dark shades.
Olive Green Wellness…
Oh, how I love earthy tones, it’s soothing on a rainy day. Whether it’s a Sunday Farmer’s market pick-up or brunch, this outfit can go from the outskirts right into downtown. Now, olive green suit vests are hard to locate on the GPS, though it’s a color that can work well with a fitted and I mean FITTED jogger. It’s relaxed but not cargo kind of ‘chill’. A white dress shirt is recommended for no likelihood of slovenly trend happening. Blundstones are always a best-loved boot that excels in fast-changing weather and fits divine with an elastic cuff pant.
Pro Tip- Keep as is, preferably on a warmer fall day. Though a grey- scarf like shown above can be added.
