I can’t solely on my own express the blessing of taking a foot to foot know-how absorbing the culture, in your mind’s slow movement, bunny filter on snapchat.

Fort York feels as if your detaching yourself like melted cheese from Toronto into the tranquil but historic land. You can’t help but feel a sense of honor. The Powwow, ( a social gathering bringing dance, singing and honoring their culture together) shortly began when we arrived. The audience was told the “Powwow” etiquette. One of which photography is prohibited during the Grand Entry. “ Some of the feathers are special gifts they receive for doing something really good for the people. Our dancers are what makes the powwow happen. They say our dancers, dance to celebrate life. Sometimes when they dance, they pray. Might be for loved ones, for people that are sick, or folks that are in mourning”. We were very privileged enough to take pictures of those dressed in attendance and who were partaking in the Grand Entry later on. A huge white tent was amongst the “vendors” lined with stainless steel hot containers of food, stands with your modernized choices and fresh lemonade. You could feel the thick passion rolling through the air like dough and the sincere welcome.
